Call for Response: Typhoon Yolanda

Emergency Response

The latest report from UN Office of Coordination and Humanitarian Affairs estimates that at least 9.8 million Filipinos have been affected by typhoon Yolanda. At least 659,268 who have been displaced are currently staying inside and outside of evacuation centers. Some areas remain inaccessible, hampering the conduct of assessments, coordination work and response efforts.

With the wide swath of destruction in the wake of the typhoon, President Aquino has declared a State of National Calamity. The Corporate Network for Disaster Response once again calls on its members and partners to respond to the needs of the typhoon victims. The items most needed are food, water, sanitation/hygiene kits, and shelter-related items such as blankets, mats and tents.

CNDR is mobilizing cash donations. For in-kind donations, we suggest to bring those to the DSWD National Relief Operations Center.
